Italian International and Juventus Midfielder Andrea Pirlo is set to make a switch to MLS and join NYCFC.

Andrea Pirlo is set to join NYCFC from Juventus on a two year deal as per the reports in USA. Despite having last year on his Juventus contract, the midfielder wants to move on to next step and has been told he can leave if he wants to by the board. Pirlo joined Juve from Milan and has spend successful years in Turin. Pirlo helped Juve to win domestic double and reach finals of UEFA Champions League, which they lost to Barcelona.

Pirlo will join David Villa and Frank Lampard in New York City FC and could play as soon as on 26th of July. Pirlo is set to sign 18 months contract with further option to extend the deal for six months. Pirlo’s departure means either one of Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal will be staying in Juve despite talks of leaving the club.
