US International DeAndre Yedlin started for the Spurs first time against Malaysia XI and is aiming to continue the performance in coming games too.

DeAndre Yedln hoping to break into Spurs' first team next season by impressing in pre-season

Yedlin got his first start for Spurs against Malaysia XI and looked good overall in the game. Despite a start he’d love to better, he improved with time and gave a great performance late on. He did not get enough time to showcase his talent but for how much he did, the debut performance from the US youngster is good enough to be picked up for another game with Kyle Walker out injured and makeshift right back Eric Dier playing as a center back. Vlad Chiriches has not travelled with the squad so Yedlin is expected to start against Sydney FC too.

With Spurs rumoured to sign Kieran Trippier from Burnley, Yedlin must improve himself in the pre season tour so that Spurs will change their mind in making the deal. However, there have been talks that Yedlin will be given a more advanced role looking at his pace in the game. But for the time being, Yedlin must give his best to establish himself on the frame of first team.
