Wolfsburg are paying tribute to late Junior Malanda by using no. 19 emblem in the kit to be used in the final of DfB Pokal this weekend.

Malanda, who plays for Wolfsburg in Germany was killed in a speeding car while sitting behind. It is said that the midfielder did not have his seat belt on while the car skidded off the road in wet conditions.

VfL Wolfsburg are preparing to play Borussia Dortmund in a cup final this weekend and they are using a special emblem in the kit as a mark of memory of late Junior Malanda. The Belgian midfielder lost his life in a car crash earlier this season and was just aged 19. Malanda, who played for Wolfsburg in Germany was killed in a speeding car while sitting behind. It is said that the midfielder did not have his seat belt on while the car skidded off the road in wet conditions.

This piece of tribute comes late in the season but has been accompanied by lots of supports by other players and officials from Belgian football as well as Wolfsburg and Bundesliga roots.

Junior Malanda played is youth career in Lille, Anderlecht and Brussels. He signed for Wolfsburg in window of 2013 from Zulte, where he spent a season with Thorgan Hazard. Malanda had been playing regularly this season and had two assists to his name. He has also played for all the youth team in National team and was considered one of the hottest prospects in Belgian Football and Europe too.
