PSG midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi set to complete transfer to Tottenham as Liverpool lose the battle

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly beaten Liverpool in transfer battle yet again as PSG midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi nears transfer completion.

When Lavezzi arrived at Paris from Napoli, he was dubbed as one of the best and did replicate the form he had back then. But with time and change in management, he has failed to be consistent and is not a first team regular like in previous season. With just 19 starts this season, Lavezzi is said to be misfit in Laurent Blanc’s game plan.

Lavezzi has just a season more in his contract and with more team options available in the squad, PSG will be cashing in on the Argentine with handful of clubs interested in the service. Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be watching the situation and would cost as much as 10 million pounds which will not be a big ask for either of these. With Argentine manager Pochettino aiming for rebuilding, it is possible that Lavezzi will opt for the London club instead.
