Aged 16 years and 133 days, Martin Odegaard could break the record for being the youngest Real Madrid player if he manages to play against Almeria.

16 year old Martin Odegaard in line to be youngest Real Madrid player as Ancelotti waits to hand debut against Almeria

When Martin Odegaard signed for Real Madrid in the winter window, he already had made his National Team debut and was one of the star in his previous team. After being the youngest Norwegian International, Odegaard could make a record of his own by becoming the youngest player to ever play for Real Madrid. The record was held by Alberto Rivera who aged 17 years and 114 days made his debut for Madrid back in 1995 after coming on as a sub against Celta Vigo. He also scored in the match on his debut.

Even if Odegaard makes his debut, he will not be youngest player to play in La Liga as Sanson from Celta Vigo holds the record since 1939. He made his debut on the age of years and 255 days. Fabrice Olinga holds the record for youngest goalscorer on 16 years and 98 days, which is beyond reach of Odegaard.
