Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Depay nearing PSV exit

PSV youngster Memphis Depay might join Tottenham Hotspur for next season’s Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur might complete the signing of PSV youngster Memphis Depay after the club admitted the player will be allowed to leave if the right deal is offered. The 21 year old Dutch International starred in Netherlands’ world cup campaign and has been in good form for his club in the domestic league. Spurs had their 20 million euros bid rejected last summer and PSV cleared to make no approaches for the player in January.

Julian Brands, director of PSV told ANP: “The chances are very high that he leaves. If you see what clubs are enquiring about him, they really are the best in Europe.” He said that the club will not stand in Depay’s way if he wants to leave but the club would never ask him to leave if he wants to stay.Manchester United are also said to be interested in the player.
