Sterling a huge doubt for Liverpool as Arsenal welcome Reds

Raheem Sterling was sent back to Liverpool after England defeated Lithuania by 4-0 in EURO 2016 Qualifiers played at Wembley. Sterling assisted one and scored his first goal of senior career but did not travel to Turin to participate in International friendly. He picked up a knock and will be assessed by Liverpool’s fitness team ahead of the match against Arsenal.

Liverpool are 5th in the league table with 54 points while Arsenal stand 3rd with 60 points. Arsenal are the most in form team in the league with six wins out of last six games while Liverpool lost the most recent match against Manchester United by 2-0 at home.

Arsenal have won three of the last six meetings between the sides while Liverpool have managed just one victory. Two encounters between the sides have ended in a draw. The most recent match between the side ended in 2-2 draw after Martin Skrtel levlled the score deep into the extra time, seventh minute of second half stoppage to be precise. Philippe Coutinho put Liverpool in front just as the first half end neared but MAthieu Debuchy levelled within minutes. Olivier Giroud score in around the hour mark for Arsenal.
