French International and Olympique Lyon Midfielder Maxime Gonalons picked up a hamstring injury in the recent 2-1 loss and pulled out of squad.

Maxime Gonalons pulls out of France squad after Lloris' withdrawal

Maxime Gonalons becomes the second player to be forced out of the international friendlies after skipper Hugo Lloris withdrew from the squad due to the knee injury. Rennes goalkeeper Benoit Costil was called up in his place while Wolfsburg midfielder Joshua Guilavogui has been named as the replacement for Maxime Gonalons.

France are playing Brazil in an international friendly match to be played in Stade De France on Thursday and will follow it up with yet another international fixture against Denmark on Sunday. Denmark’s game was under a huge doubt after the players’ association and the Danish FA were locked in talks regarding players’ wages for few weeks but now the game is good to go after the demands were sorted out. Denmark are playing USA in an international friendly before they face France.

In the last six match between Brazil and France, Brazil have won just once while France have managed 4 victories. One game between the side ended in a draw. Brazil won the recent encounter by 3-0.
