Austrian defender Kevin Wimmer is set to move to Premier League after Spurs agreed fee with FC Koln.

Tottenham agree personal terms with Austria youngster Kevin Wimmer

Mauricio Pochettino has already started the season preparations for the next season and signing of FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer suggests that he will continue to work with young players in the team. Wimmer is known for his quick and physical approach and Tottenham have been lacking fluidity in the backline this season.

Wimmer has been in top form this season for Koln and has missed just one of the 25 matches Koln have played. With Spurs suffering defensive crisis and older players getting towards the end of their contract, this signing might be a good one for the club as well as the player. Players like Younes Kaboul, Roberto Soldado, Emmanuel Adebayor and Paulinho have failed to maintain their positions in the first team despite being in the list of high earners in the squad.
