Wolfsburg aiming for Europa League quarterfinals by upsetting Inter

Wolfsburg are on the verge of qualifying for the quarterfinal of UEFA Europa League as the German side visit Italy with 3-1 lead.

Kevin De Bruyne’s brace in the second half of first leg between the sides meant Wolfsburg start the match as firm favorites to go through into the next round. Rodrigo Palacio’s 5th minute goal was cancelled out by center half Naldo. However, the second booking in consecutive matches means Brazilian center back will miss the second leg to be played in San Siro. Tim Klose is expected to partner Robert Knoche in the hear of Wolfsburg defense.

Roberto Mancini will be without Xherdan Shaqiri as the Swiss international is out injured and will not play any part in this encounter. Marcelo Brozovic and Lukas Podloski are both cup-tied having represented previous clubs in the UEFA Tournament. Wingbacks Dodo and Yuto Nagatomo are both out injured and will not be included in matchday squad.
