Dani Alves close to join Manchester United on a free transfer

Brazilian International and Barcelona right back Dani Alves is set to switch to Manchester United in the summer.

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Barcelona right back Dani Alves looks like happening after the agent of the defender claimed that the right back is close to quitting the club. The 31-year old will be out of contract at the end and has repeatedly spoke about leaving the club for a new challenge. The club is yet to offer him a new contract and after a long wait, it seems like Alves is looking to leave the club.

Barcelona are serving a transfer ban from FIFA after breaking the rules in attempt to sign youngsters. Dani Alves’ departure would leave Barcelona with Martin Montoya as the only recognized right back with Adriano capable of filling in the boots when required. Barcelona are also said to be interested in Athletic Bilbao right back Oscar De Marcos.
