5. Shaun Maloney

The scottish international was close to play for Leicester on the Januray window but made his mind to switch to MLS. Chicago Fire got the signature of the player who once was named amongst the contender of Premier League player of the month. Maloney has played at the highest Level of the game and will look forward to working with MLS outfit.

4. Sebastian Giovinco

The Italian international’s move came as a shock considering the fact that MLS is just rising as established football league. Giovinco was on the radar of top european clubs but opted to sign for Toronto. Giovinco will most likely be used as a #10 player behind another new signing Altidore and ahead of Bradley.

Jozy Altidore cleared about the move to MLS saying he wanted to prove his worth in the home country and play among the own. He came into the side as a part of the deal that saw Jermain Defoe swapping sides. Altidore said that he had other options but wanted to come to Toronto instead.

Kaka is one of the biggest player ever to play in the MLS till date. The former FIFA Player of The Year joined Orlando City and is amongst the highest earner in the league. Kaka spent some time in Brazil after leaving AC Milan and then came to US to join the team.
