Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has confirmed that David De Gea has picked up a slight injury in league fixture against Sunderland.

Spanish Goalkeeper and Manchester United’s number one David De Gea has picked up a slight injury in the match against Sunderland. According to dutch manager Louis Van Gaal, the custodian picked up a knock and the manager sent Andres Lindegaard to warm up in case the injury goes wrong. However, the fears of serious injury is over and the manager has said that the goalkeeper will not miss any matches.

However,the goalkeeper will be given time to rest so that he can give his 100% in the match. Even if th goalkeeper fails to make the squad in time due to fitness issues, Van Gaal has the luxury of choosing yet another world class goalkeeper in the form of Victor Valdes. De Gea’s countryman signed for Manchester United in January and has not made any league appearances since then.
