World Cup winning skipper Fabio Cannavaro jailed for 10 months

Former Real Madrid, Juventus, Parma and Inter Milan defender and skipper of 2006 World Cup winner, Fabio Cannavaro has been handed a 10 month jail sentence after a tax invasion suspection. The police has already sealed the house of current Guangzhou Evergrande manager and is charged with various wrongdoings. He along with his wife and younger brother has been taken by police.

Paolo Cannavaro, brother of Fabio who plays for Sassuolo also as been named as culprit. The former Napoli defender used tolive with his brother. All three have appealed the case to giher court and will have their sentence postponed till the verdict. It is rumored that Cannavaro did not pay any taxes of his company which is worth around 750k pounds and have already siezed good of around 700k and 180k yatch, belonging to the wife of former player of the year.
