Louis Van Gaal will not have services of RVP and Michael Carrick for the league fixture against Sunderland.

Louis Van Gaal

The last time Sunderland visited Old Trafford, Ryan Giggs was in charge of the club and Gus Poyet was on the verge of going down with his club. This time though, the scenario has changed completely and Giggs is now assistant while Poyet is still managing the club. Sebastian Larsson score the winner then and this time, new Manchester United manager will be hoping the result will come their way.

Dutch Manager Louis Van Gaal is under immense pressure after fluctuating league results and the club are not assured of Champions league status yet. Back in the days, United would be leading the table looking like they won’t be able to catch up at this time around. Van Gaal has tough job to do this weekend as Sunderland come to play. Robin Van Persie and Michael Carrick are both ruled out of match due to injury. The manager has not found his strongest team yet because of players in and out of injury.
