Jose Mourinho has made some slight change in the lineup with Thibaut Courtois returning to match action for the first time after conceding five goals against Tottenham Hotspur. The Belgian suffered a thumb injury in that match and was not fit to start ahead of Petr Cech. Mourinho lost his last match against low key opposition Bradford by 4-2 and this was the change he felt the team needed. French Youngster Kurt Zouma continues to start ahead of Gary Cahill as he partners club captain John Terry in the center back pairing. Filipe Luis makes the cut ahead of already fit Cesar Azpilicueta while Ivanovic continues to play on the right. Strong midfield combination of Matic and Fabregas is given continuity. Eden Hazard starts on the left with Brazilian duo Oscar and Willian taking the center attacking and right midfield role respectively. Diego Costa leads the attack all alone with the trio midfield supporting in behind.

There is no inclusion of ANdre Schurrle in the bench, and with speculations about him leaving increasing, the move might be on the way. Wolfsburg and Tottenham have been intersted in the German internationl. Nathan Ake is named in the squad along with Loic Remy and Drogba. Ramires, Cahill and Azpillicueta complete the list along with Cech on the namelist.
