Robert Snodgrass is yet to return from the injury he sustained in the opening day of the premier league. Alex Bruce is also out injured and will not play any part in the game. Michael Dawson is doubtful for this game against his former club, but is expected to start with limited options for the manager. Nikica Jelavic is not cent percent fit, which means Abel Hernandez might start up front with Hatem Ben Arfa straying behind him in front of five man midfield. Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore are also set to play against their former team.

Kyle Walker has returned to the training, but will be given time before making a return to the action. Kyle Naughton is suspended and Eric Dier will continue to play in the right back position. Nabil Bentaleb is still out injured and will continue to sit out of the match action.
