Nepal Women’s football team defeat Sri Lanka 3-0 in the group deciding match advancing further to the semifinals as the group B winners.

Anu Lama scored twice while Niru Thapa scored a piece for Nepal while Sri Lanka were satisfied as the group runner-ups.

Niru Thapa opened the score for Nepal in 16th minute while Anu Lama scored two in second half, one of which came as a spot kick, to make the final score 3-0.

With three victories in three matches, Nepal goes to the semifinals without conceding a goal and will face the winner of Maldives vs Bangladesh(the game to decide Group A runner ups) match which will be played on Monday.

Nepal started the campaign with 8-0 victory over Bhutan before sidelining hosts Pakistan 2-0 followed by a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka.
