Mario Balotelli plays another poor match in Liverpool against QPR

Liverpool beat Queens Park Rangers 3-2 at Loftus Road after a nervy last 10 minutes which saw four goals, two from each side with two of them being own goals.

Liverpool went on the lead after Richard Dunne sent the cross from Glenn Johnson after a quick free kick taken by Raheem Sterling into his own net. Eduardo Vargas scored after just five minutes of coming in but Liverpool took the lead back via Philippe Coutinho as his shot was deflected past Steven Caulker. Vargas again scored in injury time to level the match but a last minute own goal from Steven Caulker handed Liverpool all three points.

Balotelli had seven shots on goal with just three of them on targets. Balotelli was poor when it came to passing side as he completed just 65% of passes attempted. He committed three fouls in the game and won just 14% of the Aerial duels in the attacking third.

Balotelli had the chance to break the deadlock when Alex McCarthy parried away Adam Lallana’s shot, but Mario could not find the target and he could not double his Liverpool goal tally. Mario had some chances to score, but he did not utilize them well.

Match Rating: 5.5
