Asian Games – Nepal Under Fixing Investigation from OCA and AFC

Nepal Football Team(U23) has been under fixing investigations as it is believed that the match between Iraq and Nepal has been unusual according to the betting Analysis Firm Sportsradar.

The AFC said it was collaborating with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which organises Asian Games, to look into the matter.

“Following recent reports of possible match manipulation at the Incheon Asian Games 2014 football competition, the AFC would like to confirm that we are closely monitoring the situation,” the AFC said in a statement.

“The AFC is determined to eradicate match fixing in Asia and we will ensure that no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of our goal,” the Kuala Lumpur-based body said.

Nepal conceded four goals to Iraq, five to Kuwait and four to Japan, conceding most goals in second half of the game.

Accoring to the information from Sportsradar, Malaysia 4-0 Laos, Saudi Arabia 3-0 Laos along with Nepal 0-4 Iraq will also be investigated.
