Manang Marshyangdi club arrives Nepal today after participating in AFC President Cup’s last edition held in Colombo, Srilanka. Although they failed to reach the final of the tournament they defeated Srilanka Air Force and finished second in the group just behind HTTU of Turkmenistan who later won the tournament.
MMC had a mixed result in the group stage and were knocked out of the tournament, They won 2-1 against Srilankan Air Force and lost 4-1 to HTTU Asgbat. Muhadow who scored a hat trick against champions of Nepal also inspired Turkes champions to title glory.
Speaking with the media’s at the Trivuwan International Airport, MMC coach Nabin Neupane said.” We played well in the tournament, but the mistakes from Referee costed us a first title for Nepal in the international club tournament.”
MMC had 11 hours of transit in Subarnavumi Airport Bangkok before they flew towards Nepal.
