Turkmenistan International Muhadow scored three times for FC HTTU as they sideline 10 men MMC to knock the Nepalese league winner out of the championship.
The journey ends for MMC as they register a victory in the first match but a defeat in the group stage of final round of AFC president’s cup match played at Colombo means MMC are out of the race.
Muhadow scored a hat-trick for a winning side, while Sujal Shrestha knocked a single goal for MMC in a 3-1 defeat.
HTTU got ahead in 28th minute of the game as Muhadow was able to beat MMC offside trap and place the ball over Bishal Shrestha to get ahead in the match.
Sujal pulled one back for MMC in 35th minute as his left footed powerful shot led no chance for the Turkmenistan goalkeeper to find the net to make it all square at the end of the first half.
However, Muhadov’s header in the 74th minute got FTTU back in the scoresheet, an attempt from Biraj Maharjan to clear the ball from the goal line was not enough for a save as FTTU gained back the lead.
The situation was even worse for MMC as Deepak Bhusal was sent off for his untimely challenge in the opponent player.
Muhadow completed his hat trick in 83rd minute and a 3-1 victory for HTTU means MMC are out of the tournament.
