All Nepal Football Association President Ganesh Thapa believes Nepal will have an improved national team in four years time. Praising current Nepal U17 players who made to the final round of AFC U16 championship in Thailand, Ganesh Thapa revealed his plans to improve the youth team concentrating future results for the senior team.

“Current U17 players are both physically and technically better than senior side”, Ganesh Thapa praised the youth players.

“ANFA has plan to develop these players in four years time to build a strong national team”, Thapa continued.

“ANFA will work in grassroots programs and continue to produce youth footballers”, Thapa said in an inauguration program of training campaign that saw an involvement of more than 500 young footballers.

The U16 team was able to produce better results against top Asian sides, getting a draw against 2012 AFC u16 champions Uzbekistan, playing a goal less draw against finalist South Korea in a friendly match, winning Kuwait 2-1 in the group stage of the tournament.

ANFA has concentrated in the grassroots programs and has announced training programs for all interested youth with the top football players and coaches from Nepal during Saturdays.

Additionally ANFA President Ganesh Thapa also announced the involvement of Japanese technical director for All Nepal Football Association who will soon arrive Nepal for his service to ANFA.
