Nepal vs Korea – Nepal u16 to concentrate in Defense

Nepal U16 team will take on Korea DPR in their third and final match of the group stage. A point is enough for the junior Gorkhalis to make it to the knock out stage of the tournament.

Nepal will be concentrating in the defensive part in the field as they will be fielding a 5-4-1 formation, central defender Rupesh Tamang starting for the first time in a competitive match for Nepal.

Ananta, Aakash and Rupesh will be in the central half of the defense line, meanwhile Dinesh and Amit will be available for the overlaps.

Gaurab Budathoki will be supporting the defense from the midfield, while Kiran and Bikash will be on the either flanks. Similarly Bimal Gharti Magar will be the lone striker supported by Anjan Bista who will be playing as a supporting striker.

“We will not be playing a defensive game but rather we will concentrate in the defense”, Nepal’s assistant coach Sunil Shrestha said after raveling the team’s strategy for the game.
