Nepal U16’c chance to make it to the world cup 2014 comes to an end as they go 4-1 down to DPR Korea in a match where at least a draw was needed.

Nepal celebrate their only goal in the game.

Korea got ahead very early in the game as Hyon Hyok found an early lead for the group runner ups converting though a forth minute free kick.

Bimal Gharti Magar missed a one vs one goal scoring opportunity in 12th minute when he made a shot straight to the keeper in a one vs one chance which opponent goalkeeper blocked with an ease.

Korea doubled the lead in 23rd minute when Song Hyok outran Kiran Sunar to find the back of the net in a solo effort.

Ananta Tamang, however pulled back one for Nepal when he headed in Amit Tamang’s free kick to narrow the lead, however the joy remained short lived as Korea scored after they started the ball as  Kwang Song scored for Korea just seconds later.

The contest went further away from Nepal as Song Hyok scored just before the end of the first half to make the first half score 4-1 for Korea.

Second half started with Nepal trailing back with three goals, however the front line remained blunt with Bimal replaced in 67th minute catching an ankle injury.

The defeat not only knocked Nepal out of the group but also ended much anticipated U17 world cup 2015 entrance which four semifinalist of the tournament will play at Chile.
