Jhapa XI beat Snakta by 4-0 in the final of the ANFA Cup 2071 and bagged Rupees 10 lakhs. Runners Up Sankata were awardeed with Rs. 5 lakhs. Semi-Finalists Tribhuwan Army and Nepal APF were handed Rs. 1 lakh each. The individual winners of each category were rewarded Rs. 50,000 while the Best Player of the Tournament won a Yamaha Motorcycle.

Barsat was instrumental in Sankata’s midfield as he worked all the way from attack to defense throughout. He scored an important goal in the win against Morang and captained the team in absence of regular skipper Salyan Khadgi who was not cent percent fit.

Bishal Rai was the pivot of the winning team as he scored two goals in three matches and was involved in most of the goals they scored. He terrorized the opposition defense with his pace and dribbles. All in All Rai scored 2 goals in the tournament.

Coming from Jhapa, he knew his players very well and combined the team to the best. Jhapa hardly looked pressured throughout the tournament and his well-timed substitutions changed the game in several occasions.
