Barcelona  are going to host the match against Elche in their opening match of Spanish La Liga 2014/15 season. 

The defending first runner up Barcelona is going to host the match against Elche FC to play their opening match in the ongoing Spanish La Liga. Eight teams have already opened their opening match in the new season league where Granada and Malaga have already registered a win in their very first match in the league. Currently, Granada are in the top of the table with three points and Malaga are following them in a second position with equal points.

Last year record signing Neymar, Adriano, Marc Andre ter Stegen and Thomas Vermaelen will not be availabe for the team due the injury. New record signing Luis Suarez is suspended for the match due to his four months ban for biting. Gerard Piqe is also suspended for the match. Pedro is still doubtful for the starting of today’s match. Barca might adopt their regular 4-3-3 formation where Messi will look after the attacking line with the help of Munir and Rafinha.

Elche have not concern with the injury probelm although key player Cristian Sapunaru left the club while Jose Angel renewed his contract for three years more. They will adopt 4-4-2 defensive formation where Coro and Jonathas will be playing from the attacking line.

Both teams have face each other for the two time this year in which Barcelona have won the one match and another remaining match was held on draw.
