Rangers will host the match against  Hibernian to play their first round fixture of Scotland Challenge cup from South selection.

The defending runner up Ranger will be hosting the match against the Hibernian in the today’s fixture of the Scotland Challenge Cup 2014-25 season .  The winner of this match will take Clyde in the second round match from the south selection where Clyde, Greenock Morton,  Berwick Rangers, Stranraer, Albion Rovers, Livingston, Heart of Midlothian have already confirmed the spot in the second round.

The second round match will starts from the 19 August where both team will be trying their best to get nominated in the next round of the tournament.  In their previous six meeting, Rangers have won the five matches while Hibernian could manage only one match in the head to head.

Rangers are in the good form as they have lost only one match in their last six matches. They were 2-0 down against the Derby in their last fixture. Hibernian are struggling as they could manage only one win in their last six fixtures with one draw and four defeats.

Raith Rovers are the defending champion of the tournament who defeated the ranger in the finals of 2013/14 season. 32 clubs are taking part in this tournament where 15 teams have been already knocked out from the tournament.
