Liverpool are set t start their Pre-Season friendlies with a trip to Denmark to play Brondby IF.
Luis Suarez has left LFC
Liverpool FC are yet to have their World Cup participants back into the team but still the team is strong with some academy players travelling as well. However, Rickie Lambert is said to have joined the training early to fit in into the new side.
Former Brondby player Daniel Agger will be playing in his home crowd and the local Copenhagen supporters will have lots of expectations from their side as well. Liverpool are likely to start with Brad Jones in goal while Pepe Reina will join the squad from Napoli and Simon Mignolet back from Belgium in World Cup. Promising Youngster Andre Wisdom will start at either of wingback as he looks to impress Rodgers yet again after spending last season on loan to Derby. Jose Enrique is fit again and will be trying to put a good shift in left defense.
Tiago Illori, who spent later part of last season in Granada will partner Daniel Agger in the centre back with new signing Emre Can playing just ahead with Welshman Joe Allen. Philippe Coutinho will lead the attacking midfield with Jordan Ibe and Suso. Fabio Borini will lead the line after spending a productive loan spell at Sunderland last term.
Liverpool have been spending wise in this transfer market after departure of Luis Suarez was confirmed last week. They have signed Markovic from Benfica and signed Southampton duo Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana. The purchase of Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen means they have spent on young talents as always and are now looking to fill the void left by their talisman Luis Suarez.
