Speaking with reporters during farewell for South Korea tour, captain Bimal Gharti Magar says the team is hopeful for U17 world cup qualification.

Reacting to a reporter’s question if Nepal could make to the U17 world cup or not, Bimal said with the preparation and coaches’s comments so far, he and entire team is hopeful for making into the 2015 world cup.

“Our performance and preparation so far has been good. Everyone including coaches are positive about our team and I have expectation that Nepal will get qualified for U17 world cup.”

Four out of sixteen team participating in the finals of AFC U16 championship in Thailand on September will make into the U17 world cup representing Asia for which Nepal has been preparing. South Korea friendly is part of preparation for the extravaganza. Bimal believes  this will be great match exposure for U16 side.

“Our team lacked match exposures and this tournament and I expect these tours will get us exposures”, Bimal who got selected for Anderlecht youth academy commented about the tour.
