Alexis Sanchez of Chile and Diego Costa of Spain

Spain and Chile have played each other in five occasions before this and the Spanish side look the favorites with four wins in those matches. Chile have mustered only one game among the five meetings. Spain has scored 12 and conceded five goals in the process. The most recent meeting between these sides ended 2-2 draw where Eduardo Vargas scored a brace for Chilean side. Spain leveled the game in last minute with Jesus Navas after getting first equalizer through Roberto Soladao. Both the scorers then are not in the squad at the moment.

Spain lost their opening match against Netherlands by 5-1 and have a tough task to do against the in form Chile team. If they do not manage a win here, their route to knockout stage looks very hard indeed. They lost their first match in 2010 but later went n to life the trophy, they will need a lot of luck if the history is to repeat.

Chile were victorious in their first group match against Australia and will look to put their Knockout stage fate in bed with at least a point here. Arturo Vidal looks ft enough to start again and with forwards on form, they will be eying at the next round already.
