Nepal National Team striker Anil Gurung wins Ncell player of the year award as he gets ahead of second placed Bharat Khawas and third placed Bhola Silwal. He gets 98% of total votes which favoured him as the best player of the year.
Anil Gurung who started his national team career back in 2005 played for couple of A division clubs like Brigade boys, Three Star, NRT and MMC.
The voting process was done through three different sources, SMS voting, coaches voting and journalists voting.
A total of 20 players from SAFF championship squad were nominated for the Ncell player of the year 2070 award.
Three players, Anil Gurung, Bharat Khawas and Bhola Silwal were top three players.
Vote Count
A total of 88 coaches and 31 journalists placed their vote while 1,75,342 sms votes were placed in total.
3.Bhola Silwal – 17.79% from coaches, 17.47% from journalists, 0.30% from SMS(836 votes)
2.Bharat Khawas – 20% from coach, 20% from Journalist, 0.61% from sms (1679 votes)
1.Anil Gurung – 19.91% from coach, 18.80% from Journalist, 98.71% from sms (164729)
