Everton missed a chance to go into top four after a loss against Crystal Palace by 3-2 at Goodison Park. Everton have two tough fixtures against Manchester Clubs and need to go away against Southampton and Hull City as well.

Jason Puncheon and Scott Dann put Crystal Palace in comfortable position and Naismith pulled one back. Cameron Jerome restored 2 goals advantage for the visitors’ but Mirallas scored late on to give huge hopes which later ended as a consolation.

Martinez was disappointed with the result but was positive about the future.

“We will try to get as many points as we can. It doesn’t change anything. We have had a magnificent season and we have incredible potential in this squad.  There will be twists and turns because it is that stage of the season. There will always be surprises at this stage of the season. It is not in our hands, but you have to be as strong as you can be.”, said the Spaniard.
