Khumaltar defeated Sanogaucharan while Gyanbhairab and Kalanki Nawajyoti shared points in first round of Martyr’s Memorial Red Bull ‘C’ Division Football League 2070 Super League.
In the first match held at Dasarath Rangashala, Gyanbhairab and Kalanki Nawajyoti Club played a 1-1 draw. Saugat Khanal opened the scoring in the 19th minute but Jukti KC brought the match into level with an equalizer three minutes before the half time.
In the second match of the day Gyanbhairab defeated high flying Sanogaucharan 3-1 to hand them defeat in first game of the super league. Diwas Gurung opened the scoring in 6th minute and doubled it in 35th minute. Dhirendra Raut scored one for Sanogaucharan just near the end of first half but any hopes of comeback were shattered when Sabir Chaudhary scored third goal for Gyanbhairab in 86th minute.
Khumaltar advanced to Super League as Winners of Group A while Gyanbhairab was second. Sanogaucharan was top in group B with Kalanki Nawajyoti in second place.
