Curt Dizon, Martin Steuble and Ruben Doctora scored a goal each for the winning side that has been preparing itself for the AFC Challenge cup which will be played in Maldives.

Nepal had slight change in the starting lineup than that in Yemen friendly as Biraj Maharjan returned to the squad replacing Bikram Lama while Deepak Rai got his first ever star for the Nepal National team.

Curt Dizon did well to beat the offside trap before he placed the ball easily in one vs one battle with Kiran Chemjong to take the lead in 15th minute for the Azkals. The winning side completely dominated the first half as a result of which they doubled the lead in 33rd minute. Martin Steuble appeared from nowhere to beat Biraj Maharjan to place the ball from the right flank into the net.

The second half remained comparatively dull with both teams failing to perform to their caliber in the starting minutes, however it was Philippines again that found the back of the net, Ruben Doctora’s solo effort to beat Nepalese defender was followed by a cool finish which Kiran Chemjong could not judge about.

Nepal’s 3-0 defeat comes to third consecutive defeat in friendly match while fourth match without scoring a single goal as the goals drought started since in the SAFF Championship 2013 semifinal at Dasarath Rangashala, Kathmandu.
