African United claimed the title of 16th BudhaSubba gold cup, they defeat Aaha Rara cup champions Sahara FC to claim the title.
Sugan Tandukar who has been working long with the African recruits was the head coach of the winning side and bagged ‘The Best Coach’ title in the tournament.
He Speaks with givemegoal.com about the tournament, his footballing background and presence of African Footballers in Nepalese Football.
“We expected to conquer the tournament, everyone comes to participate in order to win the tournament”, he told givemegoal.com
“We first won against Machhindra and then against Manang Marsyangdi club. The victories over two top clubs from Nepal boosted our morale, however I was worried about two player’s suspension.”, he told about the final clash.
He also talked about the importance of African Players in the league.
