Nepal Army Club’s chances to enter the super six of the tournament has been fading away while Machhindra did well to stop their super six competitors in a single points which keeps their hope alive for the next round.

Army-vs-Machhindr

With one matches to be played which will be against Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club, Machhindra club now has 16 points in their name which keeps their hope for super six spot alive and strong as they come back from a goal deficit to stop Army for a draw.

Meanwhile Army club now has very little chance to make it to the top six as they are in pressure to win their last match and their fate depends in other team. Their last match will be against Laxmi Bank Three Star Club which means Army will have to work very hard to achieve the super six feet.

Army first took the lead in the game after an early dominance in attack. Tek Bahadur Budathoki got a half cleared ball from the defender to place it for the lead just in the 12th minute of the game.

However they could not hold on to their lead as Uttam Gurung’s free kick in 42nd minute from 18 yards  directly found the back of the net which made the score leveled before the end of the first half.

Army well aware about their position in the game and looked desperate to find the lead for the win, however they could not find the lead and were compelled for a draw. Jitendra Karki free kick just before the closing of the added time found the cross bar to rule away the hopes for Army men who were compelled to loose points after sixth draw in 11th match this season.
