Nepal APF club has done well this season from the very beginning as they hold up to their consistency to defeat Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club 3-1 in second match of the day in Red Bull Martyr’s memorial A division Football.

APF scored its entire three in the first half with Ganesh Lawati starting the early strike in the game. He went one v one with Bikesh Kuthu in 7th minute ball from Nabin Lama and placed the ball curling it to the right corner of the net.

Rajendra Rawal followed his path to score in 17th minute as Rajendra’s headed placement in Sudip Shikhakar’s cross led Bikesh with no chance to save the ball. Rajendra Rawal scored his second and third for the team in 37th minute when his fine shot from 18 yards found the cross bar before bouncing inside the line for APF’s third goal.

APF controlled the game in the first half which almost confirmed them the winner, however Jawalakhel could find the consolation goal in the second half when Pradeep Maharjan utilized Saurav Magar’s ball to find the back of the net.

With the victory, APF move third in the league table while Jawalakhel are in 11th position. One victory from three of the remaining matches means Jawalakhel are safe from relegation.
