Born in Bhadra 31, 2054 at Nawalparasi, Bimal had interest on football from the very beginning of his childhood, his mother Dhanmaya Gharti Magar told.
“Bimal used to watch Football matches in neighbor’s home when he was a kid. We did not own a television and he used to escape my eyes to watch the matches and used to return home late ” , Bimal’s mother recalled.
“He was not very very bright on his studies but never failed. He had more interest in football and started to play with his friends when he was seven. ” , his mother added.
Bimal’s father Home Bahadur passed away in an accident when he was 9. He used to be a police officer and a footballer who played for Nepal Police club’s B team.
His father passed away after he was admitted to Dipendra Police school in Pokhara. He was admitted back to his home town due to the financial crisis after father’s demise. Being police officer’s son was the reason he was admitted to ANFA Butwal after great effort.
“He used to worry and feel alone after his father’s death still he always convinced me and asked me not to worry.” , she added.
‘म छु नि आमा’ , Bimal used to convince his mother when she was sad.
