Bhutan displayed good game in their opening match but failed to hold up their performance at the end of the game as they concede three goals at the end of final whistle.

Afghanistan started with dominance in the possession however Butan improved o set up well in later minute of the first half to control back the possession. They were unfortunate to concede a goal on a corner. Mustafa Azadzoy’s corner was headed by Jan whose shot found the post while Haroo Fakhruddin was fortunate to get the rebound to score an easy goal. The goal remained the solo ne in he first half but Bhutan grouped well to initiate midfield display which did not result to any chace though.

Bhutan started trailing behind at the start of second half, they were desperate to find back the equalizer with greater coordination in the midfield. The second half sub Yeshle Dorji did well enough to tip the ball over Afghanistan keeper , however Rafi was in best position to guard the ball as his headed clearance denied Bhutan to score the equalizer.

Bhutan could not capitalize the penalty which could have been the turning point in the match. Bhutan got the penalty after Passang was fouled inside the opponent box by Ali Ahmad, while Afghanistan goalkeeper Yousafzai dived to his left to save the shot.

Afghanistan had the quick say to double the lead after  Mustafa Azadzoy’s brilliance turned out into the goal. He dribbled past two defenders to make sure the ball entered the net from a tight angle. Hashmatullah Mohammad Jan scored third for Afghanistan to end it in style for a 3-0 win.
