The two teams battle to meet Nepal in the final of SAFF U16 Championship which will be played on Tuesday.
India made it to the semifinals of the tournament winning their all two matches in group B while Afghanistan qualified to the semifinals as group A runner ups winning one and tied on two matches.
India started their journey in the tournament with 4-1 win over Sri Lanka and won their next match 2-0 over Bangladesh to qualify as the group B winners. In the mean time, Afghanistan played goal less draw with Pakistan in their opener followed by 1-1 draw against strong looking hosts. Afghanistan took the lead against Nepal but failed to keep it till the end of the match. The third match was 3-1 win over Bhutan as they made it to the next round with 5 points, two below Nepal and three ahead of Pakistan.

India’s Badeshwor Singh remains in top goal scorers radar with 3 goals, 3 below Nepal’s top goal scorer of the tournament Bimal Gharti Magar while Afghanistan’s Nasar Ahmad remains Afghan’s top scorer with two goals.
The winning team will face host Nepal in the final while third place match will feature Bangladesh and loosing team of this match.
