Organizer Eleven Arrows sidelines African United in the tie breaking kick off to win the Duhabi Gold Cup title on a match played today at Duhabi, Sunsari.
Sunsari —- Eleven Arrows confirms its victory in the tournament after they defeated strong looking African united in the tie breakers. They game went to the tie breaker after the regular 90 minutes of time was not enough for both the teams to score.
The game had lots of controversies as the side Refree was blamed and attacked by the spectators as the security looked babyish to control the huge presence of spectators.
The game looked more and more interesting till it reached to its end point after 8 players from each team were compelled to hit the shot as first 5 kicks were not decisive. After 8 kicks from each team, the winner was decided after African United failed to equalize Nirajan Khadka’s penalty on a spot kick.
Winner Eleven Arrows bagged 50,000 cash prize while Nirazan Khadka was named best player of the tournament while goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa was announced the man of the match of the final.
