Sterling:I Will Have Watson In My Prayers Everyday
The rising Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has expressed his sympathy for Wigan’s Ben Watson after a collision which lead Watson to a broken leg at Anfield on Saturday.
Wigan boss Martinez confirmed after the match that Watson has sustained a broken leg due to which the midfielder will be out for around four months.Sterling and Watson were forced to a nasty collision when both the players challenged for a high ball.
“To Ben Watson I didn’t realize it was serious as that.I ‘ll be praying for a speedy recovery mate.I will have you in my prayers every day”.Sterling wrote on twitter.
Martinez mentioned,”I haven’t seen the challenge back,but I don’t think any of the players were looking at each other”.Both were looking at he ball as it’s a real accident.Watson will probably require surgery.”
