Liverpool boss admits his past side was better than his present one in the Capital on Cup defeat to Swansea.
Liverpool boss Brenden Rodgers admitted that his side were not as good as their opponent in Capital one cup 3-1 defeat at Anfiled to Swansea City. The game was a test for both Rodgers and Joe Allen as it was with their ex-club.
Liverpool got behind in the first half after Chico scored in the 32′ which was followed by Dyer’s goal in second half. Although Suarez added hope to the home team few minutes later, Guzman confirmed Swansea’s victory sealing the goal in the additional minutes of the game.
Following the defeat, Rodgers had no complaint on the game as he believed the better side sealed the victory. He admitted Liverpool played slow game in the first half and had less tempo over Swansea who were bright throughout the game.
Liverpool were the title defenders as they won league cup last season.
