Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspurs settles goalless draw in two different matches while Liverpool finds victory as Jonjo Shelvey scores twice.
Liverpool finds a superb victory in their first match of the Europa qualifiers as they win young boys by 3-5 on a away game played at Berne. Liverpool although found first goal in the match as a own goal which was equalized by Nuzzolo. Later Young boys came from behind making themselves a 3-2 lead from a situation on which they were trailing by 1-2. The lead was not maintained for long time as Coates found superb header from a corner ball which made them equal at 3-3. Later Jonjo Shelvey who came as a substitute scored two goals provided the guest teams 3 points.
While in other matches, Tottenham shared points with Lazio after they ended goal less draw and Newcastle were compelled to satisfy with a goal less draw with Maritimo.
Napoli found an impressive win after a hat-trick from Vargas who scored three out of four Napoli home goals against the Swedish side AIK Stockholm while Inter Milan settled 2-2 draw with Rubin Kazan.
Marsaile in a group C match managed to bounce back from a situation where they were two goals behind against Fenerbache. Erkin and Alex scored for the home side making the lead 2-0 but Valbuena’s goal followed by Awey’s last minute goal helped Marsaile steal a point from the home team.
