Both these teams will be looking to snatch gold medal as this will be the first time for both the team to win gold in Olympics.
After a goalless draw with South Korea in the group stage, Mexico clinched victory over two other opponents Gabon and Switzerland. They played 2-0 win against Gabon while they registered a single winning goal against Switzerland.
They had pretty good start in the quarter finals leading Senegal 2-0 but the African came back to 2-2 in the regular time. Later Mexico dominated extra time and then found their place in the semifinal where they torn down Japan reaching the finals. They scored 3 goals to 1 in the semi finals.
In the other hand, Brazil were fantastic through out the tournament. Brazil has scored three goals in each match of the tournament. They registered 3-2 win against Egypt, came back from 1 goal trail against Belarus to secure 3-1 win and got a clean sheet scoring 3 goals against New Zealand. They had a different story in the quarter finals as they won a difficult one against Honduras when they came from a trial to win it later 3-2. They advanced into semi finals and dominated Korea Republic to enter the final where they will meet Mexico.
Both these teams has been fine throughout the tournament as both can be favorite to win it.
