Europa League Third Qualifying Match Result 2012/2013

The first leg game has ended and both these teams has been able to gain advantage in the first section of the third qualifying round.

Liverpool got forward just in the late minute of the game with Downing scoring the difference at the later minute of the game. It was steward Downing who scored at the 68′ minute of the game providing the away team a lucky lead in the competition. Although it was Gomel who enjoyed better possession and chances in the game at their home, Liverpool found themselves lucky to score. Liverpool came in the field with an experience squad when Jamie Carragher appeared in his 700th game for the reds while Steven Gerrard was also in the field. It was Fabio Borini’s first appeareance in the competitive match after his debut against Tottenham in the friendly tour in the USA.

Liverpool will be hosting FC Gomel in the second leg on 9 August, 2o12.

In the other hand, Inter Milan was able to gain clear lead against the Croatian side Hajduk Split after they secured three goals lead at the end of the match. Internazionale were able to score twice in the first half when Sneijder and Nagatomo scored respectively in 14th and 44th minute of the half and the remaining goal came in the second half from Coutinho in 73′ minute to give Inter an easy lead.
