Manchester United Youth Player To Watch In 2012/2013
Sir Alex Ferguson is known to use the players in the better way. Here we have collected young players from Manchester United who can come front to first team this season.
Michael Keane: Michael Keane is twin brother of Will Keane who was set to be used in the first team too before getting a huge injury layoff that will keep him out for an estimated period of six months. Both are thought to have a bright future at United. Michael Keane is a Center back who initially started off as a full back. He was quite a small figure for his age, but his physical development has been very impressive and that’s one of the reason he played a key role in United’s FA Youth Cup triumph in 2011. Following his promotion to reserve team, he earned a lot of praise from Warren Joyce for his consistency. This prompted his first team debut in Carling Cup against Aldershot. He played 30 games for the reserves this season, more than anyone else, and was also voted Reserve’s player of the year. He also scored 5 goals venturing forward for set pieces. He is likely to have lots of suitors wanting to take him on loan.
Ryan Tuncliffe: Ryan Tuncliffe is a powerful midfielder, who can tackle, pass, score goal etc. He is an all-round package. His versatility can be judged by the fact that he often played at right back for U-18 United team. His strongest position is at the heart of Midfield where United’s obvious weakness lies. He has also tasted Championship games after a loan spell at Peterborough. After his loan spell he was a regular at Man. Utd’s reserve team. The highly rated youngster is likely to feature in this pre-season and could feature in the first team as well.
Tyler Blackett: Following the departure of Fabio on loan to QPR and the imminent move of left back Fryers to Tottenham, Manchester United only have one experience left back. Tyler Blackett aged 19, might see this as a great opportunity to make a name for himself and prove himself as a good understudy of Evra. He is set to feature in United’s pre-season matches, and with all the rumors about Baines circulating he will want to grab as much game time as possible. Blackett is highly rated by the Old Trafford club and could make this season his breakthrough season. Similarly, he has strong physique which is better suited for the Center back position but he undoubtedly plays his best at left back position.
