Italy advanced to the finals beating Germany while Spain entered the contest winning over Portugal in the penalties. Both these teams have been in this state with their luck and hard work. No doubt Spain will look forward for the record to be the only team to successfully defend their European title but it will be Italy who would not like to miss the advantage they got entering the European finals after 12 years.
Spain and Italy has been chosen best two after number of clashes in the competition. They will meet each other in Grand Finale after both these giants got taller in their recent matches in the campaign. It was a draw when they met in their last clash but this time, there is only one winner.
Spain and Italy both raised through same groups in which Spain leaded and Italy followed only after letting down Croatia. Spain had their Journey started in the tournament with Italy in the group stage. Nothing could differ these two teams as the lead from Natale in 60′ was equalized four minutes later by Fabregas to settle draw. This was the only draw in the tournament for them after which they won all their matches, either it be a 4-0 win against Ireland or a penalties over Portugal in the semifinal when they won to France fascinating 2-0 in the quarters.
Italy started their destination similarly but they found just single win in group stages resulting double draw. They collected 5 points and ran to the quarter finals against England where they distinguished themselves only on penalties. Their semi final form where they out-clashed the Germans(2-1) might bring some confidence on their deciding test. It was Balotelli who turned down every criticism to score twice and open the door to the finals.

Spain: Casillas, Iniesta, Pique, Alba
Italy: Buffon, Balotelli, Pirlo
Iniesta is always in an eye of the world as he has been recently awarded the best player award by goal.com while the Manchester city man who always keeps himself in headline might be worth to watch as this man can create controversies as well as appreciation. Similarly Pirlo, the Italian legend has been wonderful in the series due to his chipped penalty and game saving free kicks.
Both these teams have been stronger and it is really difficult to seperate them, so we suggest that full time might not seperate them in the finals.
Full Time: Italy 1-1 Spain
Italy might then add difference in the extra time.
Final Result: Italy 2-1 Spain
The results has been analyzed on the basis of performance and superstitious belief. Superstition in the sense that:
1994: Italy Reached the finals of World Cup 1994 and Lost it
12 Years later in 2006, they won the Cup.
2000: Italy Lost the Finals in European Cup and
12 Years later then can repeat the coincidence.
2006 World Cup: Italy beats Germany, wins the World Cup.
2010 World Cup: Spain beats Germany, wins the World Cup.
2008 Euro Cup: Spain beats Germany, wins European Cup
2012 Euro Cup: Italy beats Germany, will it be the same?
