Germany Moves Closer To The European Title
The fluent looking German teams makes it 4-2 till the end of the final period to advance to the Semi Finals of the European Competition.
Germans dominated the part of the game to get the final score on their side as they became the second team to advance to the semi finals. They will now play either against Italy or England in the Semi Finals.
Lahm, Khedira, Klose and Reus all scored on target to provide strong looking title contenders 4-2 win against Greece.
Joachim Low made a drastic change in the starting 11 and his tactics were proved correct by the Germany team as they experienced glory in PGE Arena Gdańsk. Low made his team march into the semi finals without starting Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller and Lucas Podolski as they were all relegated to the substitute bench.
Germany overcame their frustration of the first half after they were able to score 3 goals in the second. Germany dominated the possession and created lots of chances but were not able to score until Lahm came from right back to score a great starter for the Deutscher. The scored then started shaking in the game. Germany earned 70% of the possession in the first half.
No doubt second half was a bit different as Greece were the one to start at the second half. Germany although tried to dominate the second half but were punished in a counterattack after Samaras scored in the 10 minutes of the second half but the celebrations were short timed as German scored three goals in 6 minutes interval of every goal. First they took the lead they lost 6 minutes back after Khedira scored in 61′ of the game. Klose added next goal in the score board soon after while Reus was the man to make the score 4-1 till the end of the match.
Although Greece then scored in 89′ of the game as a penalty they were awarded for a hand ball on German box. The final score ended 4-2 after both the team were unable to score afterward.
